Client-stated Desired Outcome

Treatment Goal(s)

(client did not show up for his appointment)

Client Strengths in Meeting Goals

(1) There has been at least one instance where Kratos was willing to fully embrace the pain associated with his trauma (this took the visual form of protecting his family from violent versions of himself).  Accordingly, it seems that there is some part of Kratos that is willing to approach difficult emotions.

(2) Though he has committed many acts of violence, in the past he has expressed a desire to stop killing others.

Barriers to Meeting Goals

(1) Kratos has spent many years avoiding feelings of pain and discomfort, instead resorting to vengeance and violence.  It seems as if Kratos is very resistant to approaching his issues in any other way.  He is likely to express contempt for traditional therapy aimed at treating PTSD.

(2) As with all personality disorders (including Antisocial Personality Disorder), it is unlikely Kratos has any objections to his own worldview.  As such, he is unlikely to see any problems with his violent behavior.

Interventions

It is extremely unlikely that Kratos will ever come to therapy.  Interventions will be considered in the event that he does.

Termination

As always, termination will occur at the discretion of the client with input from the therapist.  Due to Kratos' unpredictable and violent behavior, it may be prudent to terminate therapy solely at the discretion of the client.
