Lemmings Touch is a Vita game that I assume was also released for mobile phones. It's just like the game "Lemmings" that was released in 1991, but with updated visuals. Thankfully the game designers didn't try something absurd like trying to make Lemmings into a 3D game world, so the translation is pretty good. In fact, as near as I can tell, the levels are exactly the same as in the original.
The main idea with Lemmings is as follows: Lemmings come out of a door; you goal is to get them into another door; the lemmings only walk forward unless acted on by specific forces; you can assign jobs to a few of the Lemmings to get most or all of them to the goal. Apparently lemmings, in real life, will just mimic the actions of other lemmings to the point of following each other off a cliff. This also happens in the game - they will just walk into a pool of lava unless you do something like dig under the lava or assign one of the lemmings to block the others from moving forward.
The basic idea of the gameplay is pretty straightforward, but the game quickly gets quite complex and difficult. If I had to place this game into a category, I'd say it most closely resembles a puzzle game - you will not advance far without planning a strategy before attempting each level. Every ounce of the 1991 difficulty is in Lemmings Touch. If you liked Lemmings back in the 90's then you'll probably feel similarly about this game, but newcomers may find the game to be too difficult.
Lemmings Touch
There they go! | The lemmings are bouncing over the wall and exit, and would walk off the cliff without that lemming blocking the way forward. Instead they turn around and find the exit (in the rocket). | |

This level was a pain. You can slightly turn the Jell-O to adjust where the lemmings bounce, but it got tedious. | This scrunched up bunch of lemmings is headed up some steps laid down by a vanguard lemming. |
