Letter Quest Remastered has an extremely basic premise and it's simply fun.  In each level you come across a few enemies with which you exchange blows.  You are given a supply of fifteen letters to spell any word you can, and the longer the word the more damage you do to the monsters.  Finally a practical use for S.A.T. study guides!

Much like Scrabble, certain letters are worth more points than others.  Each enemy you defeat drops money, and you can use this to purchase certain upgrades.  For example, you might buy an item that makes you deal 50% more damage if the spelled word has two letter Es in it.  My favorite was the one that quadrupled damage if the word started with "QUA" (eh? See what I did there?).  There is a 3-star system for each level, but rather than being performance-based like in Angry Birds, each star is earned by completing certain tasks.  For example, the second star always involves beating the level quickly and the third star often involves playing the level with supercharged enemies.

Letter Quest is perfect for the Vita as it's fun it short bursts.  It's pretty cheap too!

At the end of each level there is a pile of money. You get more money if the word is longer.

Sometimes there is a "Wheel of Fortune" style puzzle. There is no penalty if you can't guess the word, but you get bonuses if you can.

The only way I could think of to get rid of all of these frickin' As.

Some bosses have special properties, such as this bunny who cannot be harmed by three letter words.

Those red letters won't do any damage, and they spread their redness to the other tiles if you don't use them.

That red letter deals bonus damage.

This was one of those words where I noticed I could make it longer 3 different times.

I'm ashamed I entered this word, but I had no other choice.
