Part of an explosion. Pretty. | The levels are designed so that you can see the most of it on the screen at once (the only blind spot is directly behind the planet). This ensures that you can usually see what is coming your way, and you can get where you need to. | On the top right you can see my score and score multiplier. If I die then the multiplier is reset and I can say goodbye to the top of the leader board. |

You have a few backup plans, such as launching homing missiles. | I was pretty good at one point.
Of course it will . . . | There are a few different game modes. This is an unpopular one, which is why I'm pretty high on the global leader boards.
My Ice Gun is fairly weak right now, only shooting two bullets at a time.
I'm using the flamethrower to take down a boss. | Take that! | Sometimes the demo reel is the best way to get screenshots in an action-heavy game! |
Using the flamethrower to smite mine enemies.
I dare you to play this game a resist making a swirling circle with the flamethrower. None can resist!
Another boss. | The aftermath of destroying a boss.
My Ice Gun is a bit stronger now, shooting 7 bullets at a time. |
Super Stardust Delta
Super Stardust Delta is a twin-stick shooter for the PS Vita. It was developed by Sony first-party studio Housemarque, which has never made a bad game. The premise is simple: you play as a ship that circles a spherical planet and shoot at asteroids and monsters. It's basically a modern version of the classic "Asteroid."
In this version of Super Stardust you have two primary weapons - red and blue. Red tends to work very well on fiery asteroids, and blue does very well on ice asteroids. You can switch the weapons on the fly, and can earn upgrades for each of them. The red weapon fires like a flamethrower, and the blue weapon like the Spread Gun in "Contra." The gameplay is fast paced and the controls are tight. I really like the Super Stardust series and this game did not disappoint!
