![]() One of the first (easy) puzzles you encounter. You can't reach the ledge so you have to pull the boat ashore and climb up on it. | ![]() | ![]() |
![]() | ![]() I don't think he's gonna make it . . . | ![]() |
![]() | ![]() Hmm. . . spider legs? | ![]() Ahhhh! |
![]() Note to self: do not approach the spider legs. | ![]() Push a trap over to the spider and trap his legs! That'll learn him! | ![]() |
![]() | ![]() Stuck in a spider web with a giant spider approaching. Does it get any worse? | ![]() |
![]() Things do not look good for our hero. | ![]() Getting spun up in silk webbing. | ![]() |
![]() Breaking free! | ![]() | ![]() |
![]() Will he make the jump? | ![]() | ![]() Trying not to fall off a rolling boulder while being chased. |
![]() | ![]() | ![]() |
![]() | ![]() Yikes . . . | ![]() I should have jumped over those pointy sticks . . . |
![]() And that one . . . | ![]() Hmm. A swinging boulder, eh? | ![]() Eff. |
![]() | ![]() A . . . robotic spider? | ![]() |
![]() Other children! | ![]() | ![]() |
![]() Looks like the spider got them . . . | ![]() And me. | ![]() |
![]() | ![]() | ![]() |
![]() | ![]() | ![]() Take that, spider!! |
![]() Bam! | ![]() | ![]() It's . . . it's still alive?! How am I going to make this jump and escape!? |
![]() Oh. Gross. | ![]() | ![]() !! |
![]() !!!!!!!! | ![]() This spider torso should make the perfect platform! | ![]() |
![]() Probably the most disturbing part of the game - using bodies as platforms to cross some water. | ![]() | ![]() What's the worst that could happen? |
![]() | ![]() | ![]() |
![]() | ![]() | ![]() |
![]() Hmm. This doesn't look good. . . | ![]() | ![]() |
![]() | ![]() | ![]() |
![]() | ![]() A giant buzzsaw. This does not look good. | ![]() |
![]() | ![]() | ![]() But how could I possible make that jump?! |
![]() | ![]() | ![]() |
![]() | ![]() Careful, careful. Don't even think . . . | ![]() Grab! |
![]() | ![]() | ![]() |
![]() | ![]() | ![]() Hmm. |
![]() Ugh. | ![]() | ![]() |

Limbo
Limbo is on a variety of devices but these screenshots are from the PS Vita version. The game gives you no instructions - you just wake up in a field as a little boy. There is no dialogue throughout the entire game.
I thought the atmosphere was very effective and was usually quite creepy. Even though you play as a little boy, you frequently die in quite gruesome ways. I tried to get screenshots showing this so you'd be properly forewarned before playing.
The gameplay tends to be puzzle-solving in nature, but often requires precise jumping and platforming skills. You get infinite lives so there's likely to be a lot of trial and error - unless you're up for the ultimate challenge of beating the game without dying! Lots of people were enamored with the storyline - specifically the ending - but I'm in the camp of thinking the ending is overrated. But hey - the gameplay is more important anyway.
