I don't remember the story, but it had something do to with a cat running experiments on the mice. | So the mice start out of the left and you want them to get to the platform on the right. Before the mice leave the wheel and start the course you can drop the Tetris pieces up top into place so that the mice don't get stuck.

Levels will typically start with certain pieces and give you a certain amount of bombs. Bombs are used to blow up pieces that have already been placed. | You'll often need to place pieces and then blow them up in order to help the mice advance.
The purple blocks are kind of rubberized and prevent death from falling from too high. | Ah, the course is set! |
Mousecraft is a lot like Lemmings. The level starts at your command and the mice just walk forward - perhaps to their doom - unless you create a way for them to get to the exit. The levels generally have just one solution, but the game introduces the game mechanics in such a way that things aren't too overwhelming.
Beneath the graphics the screen is basically set on a grid. Your mice can climb objects that are one square high and will die if they fall from more than three squares. There are a variety of ways to deal with these basic rules, such as placing jelly-like Tetris pieces to create a soft landing from high places.
All in all the Mousecraft appeared well made, but this type of game isn't really my cup of tea so I didn't play it for too long.
